Short course : Terroir and vineyard management
Bordeaux Science Agro and “Jules Guyot” institute from the University of Burgundy offer, in two iconic winegrowing regions of France, a 5+5 days courses to learn how to understand terroir and to enhance it by vineyard management and winemaking.
Initially held by the Bordeaux Science Agro, this course includes from now on a 5 days long second part in Burgundy. This part will focus on dealing geology and climate variability at the vineyard scale level and how to handle it; the biodiversity from plant material (Pinot noir) to crop cover; the management of Pinot noir and Chardonnay expression on various terroirs and how to manage it by winemaking practices. This course also addresses collective and individual actions to enhance terroir-based brands.
This course will take place from March 13th to 17th 2017.

Those five days follow a first 5 days long session in Bordeaux, dedicated to the knowledge and enhancement of soils and viticultural climates, through vineyard and cellar practices.

Those two sessions are held on two successive weeks. A 20% discount on rates is offered to the students taking the whole course (Bordeaux + Burgundy).
The two sessions are complementary and can be taken separately.
